It’s MONDAY again! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, as I did!
Last week was our anniversary, as you probably know if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook. We celebrated 4 years of marriage! We celebrated by going to a restaurant we’ve been wanting to try for a while now called Art City Trolley. It was so, so yummy! Their burgers are made with grass-fed beef, with the option to have it served over a bed of mixed greens instead of a bun. That can be (doesn’t have to be, but can be) a difficult thing to ask for at times, so the fact that they have it on the menu already makes it easy.
I got the So-Cal burger, which probably wasn’t the healthiest burger option on the entire menu, but sometimes you have to treat yourself, am I right?! It’s all about balance. We both had the Rosemary and Garlic fries which were delicious!!
Basically what I’m saying is if you’re in the area and looking for a good meal, go here! It has a fun, cute environment as well as it’s in a trolley (a portion of it).
Even though I’m currently not eating sugar, I still wanted to have a sweet treat to celebrate! (What can I say, it’s ingrained in me!) I just love chocolate, so we ended up having these seriously decadent, incredible, chocolatey goodness bars. And I don’t think it’s just because I’m not eating sugar that these were so delicious. I DARE you to try them. They were so good. I think it defeated the purpose a little of not eating sugar because I definitely ate too many of these.
And maybe made more once we finished them.
Chocolate Decadence
1/2 c Natural Nut Butter (I use Costco’s Kirkland almond or peanut butter)
1/2 c Coconut Oil, melted
1/2 c Cocoa Powder
1/4 c Pure Maple Syrup
Directions
In a small sauce pan, mix all ingredients and whisk until melted and mixed thoroughly. Pour Mixture into a *dish (size is your choice) and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
*I coated my dish with coconut oil, but obviously in the refrigerator it just hardens anyway. I would definitely line your dish with parchment or wax paper if you want them to come out in nice pretty squares.
Happy 4 years of marriage to US!! Cheers to many, many, many more! This was a precursor to a SURPRISE TRIP that we are taking in May! Stay tuned to see where we go 🙂

Rosemary and garlic fries sound delicious! I think going out for a romantic meal is the perfect way to spend an anniversary, just the two of you.
